Mul Mul Cotton Sarees

The Second Skin: Naarithva’s Mul Cotton Saree Collection

Indulge in the whisper-soft embrace of Naarithva’s Mul Cotton (Mulmul) Sarees, often referred to as the "wonder-weave" of India. Known historically as "woven wind," Mul cotton is a fine-count, open-weave muslin that is celebrated for its incredible lightness and soft, downy texture. At Naarithva, our Mulmul collection is curated for the woman who prioritizes effortless grace and absolute comfort. Whether you are navigating a humid afternoon or a long day at the office, these sarees offer a breathable, weightless luxury that feels better with every single wear.

The Artisanal Softness of Mulmul

The secret to the legendary softness of Naarithva’s Mul cotton lies in the extra-fine cotton yarns used in the weaving process. Unlike standard cotton, Mulmul undergoes a specialized combing process that removes shorter fibers, leaving only the long, smooth strands. This results in a fabric that is highly absorbent, hypoallergenic, and exceptionally gentle on the skin. Our sarees are finished without harsh starches, ensuring they arrive at your doorstep with that signature "pre-loved" softness and a fluid, buttery drape.

What Makes Naarithva’s Mul Cottons Extraordinary?

• Ethereal Transparency: The fine weave provides a beautiful, semi-sheer quality that is both modest and incredibly sophisticated.
• Feather-Light Drape: One of the lightest fabrics in the world, a Mul cotton saree weighs nearly nothing, making it the ideal travel-friendly handloom.
• Artisanal Hand-Block Prints: Our collection features the timeless beauty of Bagru, Ajrakh, and Dabu prints, using eco-friendly vegetable dyes that get richer over time.
• Temperature Regulation: The high-porosity weave acts as a natural insulator, keeping you cool in the scorching summer heat and comfortable during mild transitions.
• Zero-Effort Styling: The soft nature of the fabric makes it the easiest saree to drape, requiring no stiff pleating—perfect for a "Boho-Chic" or "Minimalist" aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Is Mul Cotton see-through?

Mulmul is a fine, thin muslin, so it does have a degree of transparency. However, when draped, the multiple layers of the saree provide adequate coverage. Pairing it with a matching cotton petticoat enhances the elegant, sheer aesthetic without compromising on modesty.

Q2. Does Mul Cotton shrink after washing?

Since it is a 100% natural fiber, a very slight shrinkage (1-2%) is normal after the first wash. At Naarithva, our Mul cotton sarees are pre-washed to minimize this, ensuring the fit and fall remain consistent.

Q3. Why buy Mul Cotton from Naarithva?

Naarithva specializes in "Sensory Luxury." We source our Mulmul from dedicated weaver clusters to ensure the highest yarn count. Every saree is hand-inspected for its "skin-feel," ensuring you receive a product that is as soft as a cloud and as durable as tradition itself.
