The Queen of Silks: Naarithva’s Pure Kanchipuram Silk Saree Collection
Pure Kanjivaram silk sarees represent the pinnacle of Indian handloom heritage, celebrated globally for their architectural drape and regal luster. Woven in the temple town of Kanchipuram, these sarees are crafted from premium three-ply mulberry silk, where three individual silk threads are twisted together with a silver-wrapped silk cord, then dipped in pure 22-carat gold zari. At Naarithva, our collection is a tribute to this "Gilded Legacy"—offering authentic, heirloom-quality drapes that embody the soul of South Indian craftsmanship.
The Art of the Korvai & Petni Weave
The hallmark of a genuine pure Kanchipuram silk saree lies in the ancient Korvai weaving technique. This labor-intensive process involves weaving the body and the border separately on different shuttles, then interlocking them with a distinctive zigzag "Temple" or Mottu pattern. Furthermore, our bridal Kanjivarams utilize the Petni technique, where the pallu is woven in a contrasting shade and skillfully joined to the body, ensuring a seamless yet vibrant transition of colors that define a true masterpiece.
What Makes Naarithva’s Pure Kanjivarams Extraordinary?
Drawing from the highest standards of heritage silk houses, our collection is defined by:
-
Heavyweight Mulberry Silk: We use high-denier silk that provides the iconic "stiff-yet-supple" fall, ensuring your pleats stay sharp and the saree maintains its royal silhouette.
-
Authentic Gold-Dipped Zari: Our sarees feature pure gold and silver zari (certified tested zari), ensuring a timeless glow that does not tarnish, making it a true investment piece.
-
Mythological Iconography: Discover motifs steeped in tradition, including the Yali (Divine Guard), Kamalam (Lotus), Mayilkan (Peacock Eye), and the majestic Temple Gopuram borders.
-
Heirloom Durability: Due to the density of the three-warp weave, a pure silk Kanjivaram from Naarithva is built to last for generations, often passed down as a precious family heirloom.
-
Grand Wedding Pallus: Our festive drapes feature floor-length pallus adorned with intricate Vanasingaram (Forest) or Jaal patterns, perfect for a traditional bridal look.

Frequently Asked Questions on Pure Kanjivaram Silk Sarees:
Q1. How can I check the authenticity of a Pure Kanjivaram Silk Saree?
A genuine pure silk Kanjivaram will have a Silk Mark tag. You can also look for the "interlocking" zigzag line where the border meets the body (Korvai) and the weight of the saree; pure Kanjivarams are naturally heavier due to the density of the silk and zari.
Q2. Does the zari on these sarees turn black over time?
At Naarithva, we use high-quality silver zari dipped in gold. With proper care—storing the saree in a cotton or muslin cloth and avoiding direct contact with perfumes—the zari will retain its radiant luster for decades.
Q3. Why should I invest in a pure Kanchipuram silk saree from Naarithva?
Naarithva specializes in "Traceable Luxury." Every saree is hand-picked for its yarn-level purity, zari density, and artisanal integrity. When you buy from us, you aren't just buying a saree; you are preserving a piece of Indian history.
